As you may already know, two students from Kings Christian School, Mady and Natanya, submitted an entry in the “Raise Your Voices!” National Student Banner Contest. Their banner was one of seven winning banners, of the more than 1000 entries submitted. As winners of this contest Mady and Natanya’s banner hangs on Parliament Hill in Ottawa from May to October.
A copy of their banner is also currently located in the reception area here at City Hall and will soon be moved to a specially erected banner pole outside Salmon Arm Art Gallery on Hudson Street.
During a recent visit to Ottawa I was able to personally view their winning banner it is located, across the street from the National Art Gallery, within the shadow of the Peace Tower at Parliament Hill. As you can see the banner was very impressive. Congratulations, young artists, Mady and Natanya! Salmon Arm is very proud of you.
