The City of Salmon A rm will be undertaking utility improvements on 10 Avenue SE, which will require closure of the westbound lane on 10 Street between 30 St & 33 St SE, starting April 15, with reopening scheduled for May 24, 2024.
During the closure, the City Contractor will undertake replacement of the aging watermain on the north side of 10 Avenue SE. Local traffic (residents on 10 Avenue SE) will be able to access properties across the construction zone, following Contractor direction where necessary.
The construction will involve traffic pattern changes. Westbound traffic, including vehicles turning from Hwy 97B, will continue past the construction site on the opposite side of the roadway, accessing 30 Street at the 4-way stop. This will require a detour using 33 Street SE and 8 Avenue SE as an alternate route, for eastbound traffic only. Please refer to the map on the reverse side of this notice.
Truck traffic will not be permitted along the 33 St/8 Ave detour route, which will be restricted to primarily eastbound passenger vehicles using 10 Avenue SE. We appreciate your cooperation and will attempt to minimize disruption to traffic and residences while this important project is underway.
