The City of Salmon Arm is inviting proposals from qualified consulting firms to prepare an updated Network Servicing Plan for the Airport Industrial Special Development Area and surrounding industrially zoned lands. This plan will support future growth and investment by establishing a clear and practical framework for road network layout, servicing expectations,
and phased implementation.

An initial conceptual servicing plan for the area was prepared in 2009; however, several elements of that plan have proven impractical for Salmon Arm’s scale and development approach. This updated plan will revisit road alignments, servicing strategies, and development phasing to ensure they reflect current conditions, market demand, and infrastructure capacity.
The Airport Industrial Special Development Area is a key employment area for the community and coordinated servicing strategies are essential to address layout inefficiencies, infrastructure constraints, and changing development priorities. The plan will serve as a guiding document for capital infrastructure and land use planning, and both long and short-term buildout. It will evaluate road connectivity, topographic and parcel constraints, service extension opportunities, and subdivision feasibility to optimize land use and support industrial investment.
