The City of Salmon Arm's Spring Yard Waste Collection Event starts Monday, April 28, 2025.
Have your bags at the curb by 7:00 AM on Monday, April 28. Collection may take 3–4 days, so please leave them out until collected.
What you need to know:
- Use paper yard waste bags only – no plastic or compostable plastic
- Each bag should weigh no more than 20 kg (44 lbs.)
- Unlimited number of bags accepted
- Branches must be ≤ 1” in diameter and ≤ 3 ft long – place loose in bags (no bundles)
- Keep bags dry and covered until collection day to prevent tearing
- Accepted items: leaves, grass, flowers, weeds (non-invasive), hedge clippings, shrubs, small branches, and sod
- Not picked up by Thursday afternoon? Please report missed collections to SCV Waste Solutions at 250-803-4074 before May 2nd
