2021 Property Taxes

Property Taxes

Mayors Message

Property Tax Notices for the City of Salmon Arm have been mailed

Whether or not you receive a property tax notice, it is your responsibility as the property owner to pay taxes by the due date of July 2, 2021 in order to avoid a penalty.

Paying

City Hall is open 8:30 am to 4:00 pm Monday to Friday, closed daily from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm.

To avoid penalties associated with problems with your Home Owner Grant, claim your Grant with the Province of BC as soon as you receive your tax notice. Don't wait until the tax due date! If you are unable to pay your property taxes, you should still claim your Home Owner Grant on or before the due date to avoid penalty on the Grant portion of your taxes.

CLAIMING YOUR HOME OWNER GRANT

Municipalities are no longer accepting home owner grant applications. Please visit www.gov.bc.ca/homeownergrant for more information, and to claim your grant. Or you can call 1.888.355.2700 to speak with a live agent.

Property tax deferment program

The Property Tax Deferment Program is a low-interest provincial program designed to help qualified homeowners pay their annual property taxes. Visit www.gov.bc.ca/propertytaxdeferment or call 1.888.335.2700 for more information.
