Burning Permit Information The City of Salmon Arm Burning By-law tries to strike a balance between those who feel that there should be no restriction on burning wastes and those who feel human health and environmental hazards created by smoke warrant to total ban on open burning. If you must burn, here are a few rules you should be aware of before you start: Permits are required for all burning in the City of Salmon Arm. Atmospheric or local conditions may preclude the issuance or cancellation of any permit. Every reasonable every alternative for Reducing, Reusing and Recycling material must be pursued.
